A vision led by longtime music executives Ken Levitan and James Diener, Big Plan Holdings lead an investment into the Middle Eastern boy band as1one. In 2021, the team, along with Israeli and Palestinian casting directors, held auditions in major cities and tiny villages throughout Israel. After a thousand young men auditioned, Levitan and Diener settled on six of them to form the group: four Jewish Israelis and two Palestinians. As of October 2023, the group is in Los Angeles writing and recording with collaborators including Jenna Andrews (BTS/The Kid Laroi), Danja (Justin Timberlake/Britney Spears), Justin Tranter (Justin Bieber/Maroon 5), and more. A film crew has been documenting the process from the start and a docu-series is on the horizon, repped by WME.
