ABOUT THE JOSEPH
FAMILY FOUNDATION

The Joseph Family Foundation was founded in 2020 amidst numerous challenges our country was facing. During this time, our family decided to shed some light on all the dark. The Joseph Family Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3), is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, but it has made a mark across state lines and borders. Our work is rooted in authenticity, compassion, optimism, and morality with the hope to not be solely monetarily focused, but hands on, engaged, and eager to take action.

DIGNITY

Empowering Individuals and Organizations for a Better Future

Consideration for the individual and our pathways to life, liberty, and happiness. We strive to support organizations, and individuals alike, that make ‘dignity’ a precedent for their decisions, and their overall ethos.
WELFARE

Supporting Individuals Through Health Challenges

Consideration in the face of adverse effects on the health of an individual. The trials that come from healthcare scares, whether they be physical, mental, or emotional, are in continuous need of support. Because of this, The Joseph Family Foundation regards ‘welfare’ a critical pillar in which to stand on.
EQUITY

Bridging Gaps and Building Opportunities

With consideration for meeting needs and filling gaps, The Joseph Family Foundation is passionate about meeting people, organizations, and programs where they are at, and finding ways to build them up. For those working hard to catch up to the shifting socioeconomic, cultural, and able-bodied and minded parts of the world, our work in the ‘equity’ pillar is for you.
SCHOLARSHIP

Supporting Authentic and Impactful Learning

Consideration for proficiency, fidelity, and ability levels through the means of education. Whether in the confines of a classroom setting, or an alternative educational setting, The Joseph Family Foundation knows the power of education first-hand. The Joseph Family Foundation remains diligent in their support of well-rounded, research-backed, and authentically-supportive educational initiatives.
OUR BENEFICIARIES
FAQ'S FOR GRANTS
What does The Joseph Family Foundation look for in beneficiaries?
The Joseph Family Foundation is open to vetting and potentially supporting the efforts of organizations or initiatives which align with at least one of our pillars. The pillars which The Joseph Family Foundation stand on are Dignity, Welfare, Equity, and Scholarship.
What vetting process does The Joseph Family Foundation use in accepting beneficiaries?
The Joseph Family Foundation has a holistic approach to vetting and providing potential support to beneficiaries. The typical process begins with acquiring the specified program’s grant proposal / grant request. Given further insight and consideration, a team member will reach out with questions, thoughts, or concerns. Following this, an internal briefing is held and next steps are conveyed to the potential beneficiary.
What is a Grant Proposal / Grant Request?
A grant proposal, often associated with requests for funding for a specified initiative or project, whereas a grant request is most associated with the initial inquiry in receiving funds, with not as many details pertaining to budgets, objectives, and project plans. The Joseph Family Foundation has a unique, and research-backed template which allows proper insight and relevant information to be readily available for the recipient.
Why are Grant Proposals / Grant Requests important?
The grant proposal and grant request processes are important for a few reasons: One, they provide a great deal of information in a condensed place for review and recognition. Secondly, it allows the potential beneficiary and potential investor / funder to meet with the most relevant knowledge already in-mind. Thirdly, it provides a deeper, more intimate scope of analysis than any single or serveral informal meetings could.
How can I ensure my initiative is a right fit for The Joseph Family Foundation?
We urge all who are interested in submitting a grant inquiry to identify at least one pillar which their program, initiative, or organization aligns with to support their potential collaboration with The Joseph Family Foundation.
Who is the point of contact for Grant Proposals at The Joseph Family Foundation?
For any questions or concerns, please reach out to our President and Director, Sophie Joseph, at sophie@bigplanholdings.com.
